In April, Jewel and I spent a day over at the Hoosier Horse Fair to participate in the Indiana Dressage Association’s “Ride A Test” clinic. While it was really designed to allow the general public to get to see dressage tests at the different levels, it was also a great opportunity for us to get out of our normal environment and put some of our new skills to the test. We rode First Level, Test 3. The thing that makes this ride a little different (aside from being at a noisy horse fair) is that the judge/clinician gave the scores and comments out loud over the PA system while I was riding. This allowed the spectators to hopefully see what the judge was seeing. I’ve included the video of my ride.
